At Christmas our church sanctuary reflects the joy of expectation of awaiting the birth of our Lord, Jesus. As preamble there is a time for Hanging of the Greens and as Christmas grows near an abundance of poinsettias decorate the altar, traditionally gifted by members of our congregation in remembrance of loved ones.
The children in our church family especially enjoy participating in services during the Christmas Season and sing joyous carols in celebration. A special thanks always to Rob Bobola and Mrs. Doe for their faithful piano and cue card support on these occasions!
Our Christmas party theme was “Happy Birthday Jesus!” It included a luncheon as a seasonal time of fellowship for all then onward to fun activities for the children with a visit from Santa Claus and gifts of all description! Thank you for stopping by, Santa, to celebrate Christ’s birthday with us! One of our newest members, Jennifer Rolfsema (creativechica.com), brought her face-painting skills to the party which the children loved! A special thanks to those who arranged this year’s lovely Nativity scene in the Fellowship Hall and helped with the Christmas Party.
